Access and Location

The estate lies within the municipality of Castaño del Robledo, approximately two kilometres from Fuenteheridos, in the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche Natural Park.

This is one of Andalucía's most wooded regions, with a landscape shaped by chestnut cultivation, cork production, traditional livestock farming and small-scale agriculture.

The area's higher rainfall and relatively mild summer temperatures distinguish it from much of inland Andalucía. Chestnut woods, oak forests, streams and stone-walled agricultural plots are characteristic of the countryside around Fuenteheridos and Castaño del Robledo.

Fuenteheridos is a traditional village centred around the Plaza del Coso, with whitewashed houses, narrow streets and a long association with the springs and watercourses of the Sierra.

Castaño del Robledo is another of the area's historic villages, known for its traditional architecture, chestnut woods and mountain setting.

The wider natural park contains an extensive network of rural paths connecting villages, woodland and agricultural estates.

Services

Fuenteheridos provides local shops, cafés, restaurants and everyday services.

Aracena, the principal town of the district, offers supermarkets, schools, medical services, banks, shops and a wider selection of restaurants.

Aracena is also known for the Gruta de las Maravillas, an extensive limestone cave system beneath the town.

Communications

Approximate driving times from Fuenteheridos are:

  • Castaño del Robledo: 5 minutes

  • Aracena: 20 minutes

  • Sevilla & Sevilla Airport: 1 hour 30 minutes

  • Huelva: 1 hour 30 minutes
