Description

Residential Centre set in mature gardens in a peaceful and private location, suitable for all types of retreat, activity course etc. The centre would also work well as a coliving facility, for which there is significant demand.

In addition to the Centre there is separate accommodation for the owners and also, where necessary, for visiting facilitators. This area is completely separate from the Centre and participants on courses need not even be aware of its existence. 

Views from the property are of mountains and verdant hillsides. Views from the private area are spectacular.

The buildings are constructed in harmony with the local Alpujarran style and are all single storey. 

There is a gardener who has looked after the property for over twenty years, three cooks and an established team of cleaners who look after change-overs, all of whom could be hired by the new owners.

 

Centre Accommodation

2  double bedrooms for use by on-site staff and one staff room for breaks.

3 meeting rooms: large, medium and a circular building for yoga, meditation, arts etc.

Outside there are several patios, grassy areas and an orange/olive orchard with a flat area ideal for growing vegetables.

There is a swimming pool besides which there is an area for tea and coffee making and a refrigerator for cold drinks.

The facilitators are could be incorporated into the private area if additional accommodation was necessary for the owners. It would be possible to allocate some of the Centre rooms to facilitators, perhaps even by reducing the number of single rooms to create bedrooms with a shared lounge.

 

There are two solar installations for hot water and heating which run in conjunction with two boilers, one propane, the other diesel. The newer half of the Centre enjoys underfloor heating, the older half is heated via radiators.

The property is sold as is, with all equipment necessary to run the facility. As well as the owners themselves running retreats, it is also possible to rent the entire centre on a weekly basis for facilitators to bring their own clientele for e.g. detox, meditation, team building etc.

Mains electricity and water are connected and the property benefits from rights to acequia water from one of the strongest flowing acequias in the Alpujarras. There is a substantial water deposit which is refilled once each week. The property has septic tanks adequate for the maximum capacity of occupants.

Whilst fully functioning, the centre would benefit from some modernisation to bring it up-to-date. 

 

 

Although situated in a tranquil location, the market town of Orgiva, with all services, is only a short drive away.
