Description

Entering the house through the stable door brings you into a spacious hallway with stairs to the upper floors and some useful storage cupboards beneath. There is a window to the front fitted with traditional wrought iron security bars. The ceilings throughout the house are of a traditional exposed beam and slate construction. A corridor leads to a bathroom which is fully tiled and fitted with a shower enclosure, basin, toilet and bidet. There is an extractor fan fitted and also a high window onto the hallway for natural light and ventilation as this is an internal ground floor room. The room next to this is currently used as a store room but could be used as an additional bedroom. There is a large custom built triple cupboard and plenty of space for furniture.

An open staircase leads to the first floor with feature tiles, this brings you into the large open plan lounge/diner/kitchen. To the front there is a wooden window and a door to a small balcony. Along with the feature ceiling there are characterful exposed wooden beams above the doors, windows and recessed alcoves and also separating the kitchen space from the rest of the room.

A large wood burner is fitted in the middle of the room. There is plenty of room for lounge furniture and a large dining set with the kitchen being separated by a half height wall. The kitchen has fitted base and wall units, granite worktops, single sink with drainer and a built in extractor fan over the four ring gas hob and fitted electric oven. There is space for a washing machine and an under-counter fridge. A few steps up from the dining area there is a recessed custom built cupboard used as a larder fitted with shelving and wine racks. The stairs continue to the second floor.

There is a metal sliding window and a door onto the rear terraces. Along the corridor are the 2 double bedrooms and shower room. The first bedroom has a shuttered wooden window to the hall to allow natural light to enter and there is ample space for a double bed and other storage furniture. Next to this is the second shower room, fully tiled, with shower cubicle, toilet and basin and a small window to the side elevation.

To the front of the property is the second bedroom, bright and airy with a shuttered window and a door leading to a larger balcony. There is room for seating and it is in a typical local style with stone pillars, wooden beam rails and a slate tiled floor. There is external lighting and a power point. This balcony has stunning views over the surrounding countryside and benefits from an elevated position.

The rear terraces are of a traditional stone wall, slate floor and pillar and beam balustrade construction. A small lower terrace has stairs leading to an upper level. Under the staircase is a useful wood store. The upper level has a pear tree and various shrubs and climbing plants including a grapevine. There is space here for an outdoor dining set.

This property is located next to property Ref 3867 and is owned by the same vendors. Purchase of both properties could give the potential to rent one out and live in the other.

There is also a small plot of land behind the property that could be purchased separately.
