This tastefully reformed two bedroom property with a separate casita is located within walking distance to the villages of Alcutar and Berchules. The properties are set in approximately 8000m² of lush mountain terrain, with spectacular views. The owner has rented out the main house for holiday lets, in the past.
The properties are accessed via road and track from the small town of Cadiar, which has many amenities including general stores, health centre, schools, petrol station etc. use of a four by four vehicle would be advantageous.
Metal gates lead to a private driveway with parking directly at the house. Both properties, refurbished to a high standard, retain many traditional features such as slate and beamed ceilings. To the front of the main building is a tiled terrace with a large partly covered porch. The main entrance leads into a large open plan living/dining/kitchen area. To the left is the tiled kitchen fitted with bespoke wooden floor and wall units and modern appliances. The living/dining area has wonderful wooden flooring, high ceilings and a large wood burning stove that also provides hot water for the central heating system. Beautiful traditional cast iron radiators are installed throughout the house.
The two bedrooms are very generously sized, one has freestanding furniture and the other has large fitted wardrobes and a door out to a sunny terrace at the side of the property. The family bathroom has a four-piece suite including a bathtub with shower over, and a tall radiator. Throughout the property are beautiful Moorish style light fittings and many natural materials used as fixtures and fittings.
A short distance from the main property is the separate casita. This is finished in the same traditional manner as the main house. It is open plan, studio style with an enclosed shower room. The main area has a wood burner and again high ceilings with slate and exposed beams. Outside is a covered terrace with stunning views along the valley.
The land is lush, stocked with colourful plants and flowers. Many terraces offer a multitude of secluded places for relaxing and sunbathing. There are a few fruit and olive trees and room for cultivating vegetables.
Both properties had new insulated roofs recently fitted. Mains and solar electricity is fitted and mains water.
