Located on the very edge of the Albayzin where Sacromonte begins, this successful and profitable tourism complex, consisting of three spacious caves and five apartments, enjoys privileged, close up, breathtaking views of the Alhambra, Generalife and the Albayzin neighbourhood from two of the apartments as well as from its large communal courtyard area, the swimming pool and numerous outdoor seating and relaxation areas.
The five apartments and three cave houses are arranged around a large central courtyard which is accessed directly from the street. Each letting unit is able to accommodate a maximum of four people and has an open plan living/dining area with kitchen or kitchenette depending on the size and layout of the unit, a bathroom with shower, and a bedroom with either a double bed or two singles. Each kitchen or kitchenette comes equipped with the necessary items for guests to be able to cook comfortably.
Windows are double glazed and there is an airconditioning and heating unit in each apartment. As the caves maintain a natural temperature of 18 to 20 degrees C throughout the year, no heating or cooling is required. Each cave unit is completely unique as the mountainous rock determined what form each one took. The authentic caves units are a true tourist pull and are greatly loved by guests.
The smallest apartment has always been used as an office, reception and storage area for the business but this could easily be changed for use by guests as the kitchenette and bathroom remain intact and only small changes would be necessary. Another option would be to connect two of the apartments for use as owner accommodation. As the owners were considering this at one point, floor plans with these possible changes exist and could be shown to interested buyers. The property is sold furnished as a turn-key, fully functioning business.
Outside, the property enjoys a large communal courtyard, several terraces, a viewpoint with spectacular Alhambra views, a covered pergola area, and a swimming pool with head-on, close-up views of the Alhambra and a conveniently located WC right next to the pool.
The construction of the tourism complex respects the architecture and the traditional style of the neighbourhood in which it is located. The owners have paid particular attention to the constant care and upkeep of the property, to the creation and maintenance of a very successful and reputable tourist business, to the construction of several different outside seating areas and spaces that provide privacy to different groups of guests, to impeccable attention to detail, and to the use of only the most authentic and sustainable building materials.
